Buy the theory of this book - that we must quit focusing on weaknesses and trying to be "well-rounded" instead of "sharp," and instead understand our innate talents and strengths and be allowed to use them ... and you could change the world. Well your office anyway.

People yearn to be managed this way.

This book accompanies the StrengthsFinder(tm) Profile which is one of the best assessments I've ever seen. I'm a business coach and use it on all my clients. The authors say, and I agree, that most of us are so out of touch and have been so warped by parents, society, bosses and even psychologists, that we have no idea what we were 'meant to do.'

The assessment, with its 34 new terms for strengths, shows what your innate talents are(Focus, Empathy, Deliberative, Activator) and one section is devoted to how to manage the various types.

Well written and the assessment was normed on 2,000,000 people. If you know test and measurement, that's quite a sample. And the results are as accurate as you'd expect from such a huge sample.
